TTHS Class of '68 - 40th Reunion

~~~~~~~~~~ REUNION WEEKEND 2008 HAS COME AND GONE ~~~~~~~~~~~
TTHS Class of 1968 had their 40 Year Reunion this summer!
Ah the sixties.... If you had to pick just one word to sum it up it would have to be GROOVY! Groovy was in the air everywhere in the laid-back 60s - when feeling groovy was the ultimate ambition and the ultimate praise as well...and it was in almost every song you heard on the radio...To groove was to have fun!
And fun was what we had!!   We certainly did some reminiscing of those long gone groovy days!
We talked about our memories - meeting our friends at the T-bench, walking thru the tunnel, those silly yearbook autographs, the fabulous 66 state champs, the Lincoln statue, cherry cokes, the Minuette, Art's Roller Rink, AM-FM radio wars, 2001: A Space Odyssey, the British invasion, PX dances, Tri-Hi-Y clubs...
We finally got to talk to others who share our same interests of this bygone era!
The Class of '68 had a memorable reunion and what a party it was - were YOU there??!
REUNION 2008
Oh what a night we had!  If you were there you know!  EVERYONE had a great time!  We had so much fun just getting to know everyone again. We were greeted at the door by a huge purple and white sign that said “Welcome to Wildcats Country”.  The mayor of Harvey has these posted at all the main thoroughfares into the city and was glad to oblige us returning Wildcats by giving us one!
At check in we got our name badges with our senior pictures on them (and a tote bag with the logo and class of ’68 on it, a purple pen that says “ooh…ah…who’s the best? T.T.H.S.!, a wonderful program listing all of the students and some really interesting reading provided by those that answered their surveys, and a CD with our senior yearbook and a whole lot of other pictures and memorabilia crammed on it!)  If you didn’t recognize someone’s name you then looked at their picture and it was “Oh yea– I remember you!”
Before dinner we gathered for the panoramic group shot.  It was a BEAUTIFUL day that went into a BEAUTIFUL full moon night.  Our group photo was shot outdoors so the green golf course in the background made for the perfect backdrop. If you did not have the chance to get one from the photographer and would like to have one please contact Tom Killoran Photography at 708-361-0025 and they will hook you up. They do have a website but it is not fully functional yet so he prefers that you just call.
Dinner was absolutely DEEEEE-LICIOUS!  About half way thru dinner the TTHS fight song was queued up and out came the Wildcat Mascot, dancing and high fiving everyone!  Oh my gosh!  How exciting was that?!   Everyone wanted a picture with him!
Our dessert was 4 sheet cakes spelling out T T H S – one chocolate, one yellow, one white and one lemon.  Each cake was a photo collage from over the years.  Pretty impressive!
We then had a second guest appearance by none other than Reggie Torian, classmate and Hall of Famer from the Impressions!  He graced us with his presence and sang two of his top songs to a mesmerized audience!  Oh and did I mention our fabulous DJ, Jim Banasiak…and I say that he was fabulous cause he was!
There was also a raffle drawing and many went home winners of some wonderful prizes.  The entire evening was just unbelievable.  If you didn't make it you will regret this forever for this evening will never be surpassed in reunion history!
THE HOLIDAY INN IN HARVEY:
MISSING
There will always be classmates missing in action. As soon as we find someone, another disappears.  We seem to be constantly on the move.   Please check out the "Missing" page and email us if you know someone's whereabouts.  Out of nearly 1000 students we only have email addresses for about 150 so help us share this web site! If you are in touch with anyone from our class please tell them about the reunion.  Hopefully they will tell two friends...and they will tell two friends...and so on, and so on and so on.....
Even tho this reunion is over we still want to maintain a current database.  We can't do this without your help.
Please send any information or questions you have to our email at:
